A Note From Brian & Terrence Flood:
Our grandfather, Francis J. Flood, founded The Flood Group more
than 50 years ago as "The Flood Insurance Agency." In
those early days, insurance was often overlooked as a "non-essential"
by many businesses and families who were concerned with pursuing
their dreams of starting businesses or following careers and ambitions
which would have been out of reach to their ancestors.
Our grandfather was committed to protecting the dreams and aspirations
of his clients, their families, and their businesses. He built this
business by being an active member of the Tri-State business community,
and by getting out regularly into the neighborhoods and local businesses
of the New York City area. He was on a first-name basis with all
of his clients. He gained their trust and confidence through hard
work, honesty, perseverance, intelligence, and a willingness to
go "the extra mile" to ensure a client's happiness
and satisfaction.
Our father, Gerard W. Flood, Sr., carried on our grandfather's legacy
for more than 35 years, following an unwavering commitment to protecting
the people and businesses we serve with expert guidance and solutions.
He also embraced technology and growth to better serve our clients,
implementing industry leading management information systems to
provide clients with the best possible customer service we can provide.
The Flood Group is now a leading Insurance & Financial Services
firm serving more than 3500 clients, including businesses, individuals,
and families throughout the Tri-State area and many parts of the
U.S. We are carrying on a tradition of excellence, following the
lead set by the company's founder and our father. Our goals remain
simple and clear: to provide our clients with the best possible
products, solutions and customer service; and to attract and retain
the industry's top professionals, by providing a stimulating work
environment and growth opportunities which are mutually beneficial
to our employees and our company's continued success, growth, and
stability.
